NICHOLAS F CHEONG

Nick holds a LLB (Hons) degree from NUS and is a qualified Advocate and Solicitor in Singapore and a Solicitor in England and Wales. He has over 25 years’ experience in civil and criminal litigation (from State Courts to Court of Appeal), dispute resolution and mediation. He has also worked as a pro bono lawyer under the Criminal Legal Aid Scheme and in High Court capital cases. He has advised on both Commercial and Residential Tenancy agreements.

Throughout his legal practice, he has negotiated on behalf of his clients with various government agencies (such as the Attorney General’s Chambers, Registrar of Societies, MTI, SLA, LTA, ACRA, CPF Board, IRAS, etc.) as well as other stakeholders.

He has volunteered on the board of an international non-profit organisation and in Management Committee for a local grassroots organization and various clubs and societies. Nick is committed to acting as a community mediator to resolve neighbourly disputes.

Nick is an Adjunct Lecturer in Legal Communication, Business Law, and the Advanced Diploma in Data Protection (SMU). He has led workshops in investigative interviewing, workplace misconduct and expert witness testimony.
