ABOUT THE ISO 14064 SERIES CARBON FOOTPRINT IMPLEMENTER PROGRAM

With the introduction of the Singapore Carbon Pricing Act in 2018, a carbon tax was designed to encourage businesses and industries to reduce their carbon emissions and transition to more sustainable practices. More businesses are now embarking on carbon footprint reduction plans and searching for expertise on carbon hotspot identification, mitigation and identifying feasible technologies to manage them.

This training course aims to equip learners with the knowledge and skills necessary to account, report and reduce carbon emissions within organisations, based on ISO 14001 and ISO 14064 standards.

Prioritise carbon footprint reduction initiatives for implementation, based on organisational requirements
Develop carbon footprint reduction plans for implementation of initiatives

ISO 14001, ISO 14064 and other relevant standards and guidelines
Fundamentals of environment management systems (EMS)
Methods to screen and identify potential ‘hot spots’
Methods for projecting carbon reduction potentials
Methods to identify feasible technology to address carbon footprint ‘hot spots’
Key components of carbon footprint reduction plans
Tools and techniques for analysing costs and benefits of implementing carbon footprint reduction initiatives
Tools and techniques for prioritising carbon footprint reduction initiatives
Tools and techniques to develop action plans for carbon footprint reduction

Upon completion of this course, participants can enroll in the Lead Implementer or GHG Accounting Lead Verifier/Implementer Certification Program to develop knowledge and expertise necessary to become a lead verifier and perform independent verification of an organisation’s carbon footprint.

How do I enroll for the ISO 14064 Series Carbon Footprint Implementer Program?

What is the funding eligibility criteria?

Self-sponsored learners: Up to 50% of course fees for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents between 21 and 39 years old, and up to 70% of course fees for Singapore Citizens above 40 years old.

Company-sponsored learners:
1. SME employers who sponsor the following persons can apply for up to 70% funding
2. All employers can apply for absentee payroll
a. Singapore Citizens and PR: $4.50 per hour, capped at $100,000 per enterprise per calendar year
b. Singapore Citizens aged 30 and above (or Persons with Special Needs aged 13 and above), earning a monthly salary ≤$2,500: 95% of hourly basic salary, capped at $13 per hour

Are there any tests in the middle of the ISO 14064 Series Carbon Footprint Implementer Program?
